Casey Colwell
Casey is a graduate of Foothill high School, Palo Cedro, CA class of 2010. At Foothill he ran track all four years and played football all four years as well. He graduated Foothill with a 4.0 GPA earning an academic letter, in addition to lettering in sports.
He attended Shasta College and earned his A.A. in Social Science in 2012. At Shasta he achieved Deans List Honors in every semester of his attendance, as well as keeping a 3.8 GPA throughout his time at Shasta.
In 2014 he graduated from CSU Chico with his B.A. in History. At Chico he earned Deans List Honors every semester of his attendance. In 2014 he participated in the Deans Cup competition, this is a test that is reserved for the top 20 graduating Seniors in each college, he participated for the College of Fine Arts & Humanities. He graduated with an overall college GPA of 3.7 throughout all his college studies. He then earned his teaching credential through CSU Chico, in Social Science, holding a 3.8 GPA in his graduate studies.
He did his student teaching at Foothill High School, spring and fall of 2015. He taught Cultural Geography and US History during his student teaching. For the 16-17 school year he was a Social Science/ AVID Teacher at Red Bluff High School, teaching World History for the social science department. For the 2017-2018 school year Casey taught at Foothill High School, he taught AP Government, AP Economics, American Government, Economics, and Cultural Geography. He taught middle school social science at Redding School of the Arts from 2019-2022, where he taught 6-8th grade social science. He taught 8th grade Social Science and English at Happy Valley Elementary School for the 22-23 school year. He then went to Central Valley High School and taught Modern world history, AP US History, and facilitated a dual enrollment 17B course for the 23-24 school year. Casey now teaches and coaches at Anderson High School.
Casey's coaching career includes three years of coaching football at the midget level for the Foothill Jr. Cougars in 2007, 2010, and 2011. In 2012 he became the Offensive Coordinator for the Freshman football team at Foothill High School helping the team achieve a 6-3 record and have record high marks for passing at a freshman level with over 1400 passing yards and 17 passing touchdowns. In 2013 and 2014 he was the Varsity Running Backs coach for Foothill. In 2015 he was the Assistant Offensive coordinator for Foothill's JV team. He also created and up kept Foothill Footballs website as well as creating videos to put on the site. In 2016 he was the QB/RB coach for Red Bluff High School's Freshmen football team. In 2023 he was the varsity running backs coach at Central Valley High School. Casey is now the Head Varsity Football Coach at Anderson High School.
In 2011 he was the Head Coach for the Millville Elementary School's 7-8th grade Boys Basketball Team, during this season his team achieved a 12-2 record and outscored opponents by an average of 20-30 points a game, with this it made it so that his teams point total for the season was 60 points above the next team in the league. In 2016 he was the Head JV Girls Basketball Coach at Red Bluff High School. At Red Bluff he coached the team to two 1st place's, in both the Anderson Tournament and the Orland Tournament. This team also got 2nd place in the West Valley and Orville Tournaments.
